Finding love should not be this tiring.
To whoever is tired of looking,
It was never meant to be work. But somewhere between the thousandth swipe and the fortieth “hey, how’s your week”, looking for someone turned into a second job, and the job drained the fun out of it. You were not made to audition strangers by the dozen. Nobody was.
People managed this for a very long time without a deck of faces. In Pompeii they scratched their longing into the walls. In Florence a go-between who knew both families carried word across the river. It was slower than swiping. It also worked.

So let yourself be surprised. Leave the door open a little for serendipity; she has always had better taste than a filter.
And know what kind of place you would be walking into. Illyria has no place for bullshit.

Until we are introduced,
